Volunteer Services

What We Do
  • Encompass all volunteer projects for all ages.
  • Mission Statement:
    To engage all ages in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and provide high quality experiences to enrich volunteers' lives.

Volunteer Center
  • The Volunteer Center works with over 50 volunteer stations to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities.
  • Residents of all ages from Dickinson and Iron Counties can find out where their help is needed in their community.

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
  • State funded program.
  • Enrolls volunteers 55 and older.
  • Volunteers receive:
    • Supplemental liability insurance.
    • Meals when working over a meal period.
    • Transportation or mileage reimbursement.
  • Special volunteer events are held throughout the year.

Special Events

Walk for Warmth
  • Annual fundraiser.
  • Proceeds go to help families and individuals with heat related emergencies.

Youth Events
  • Planned and run by youth volunteers.
  • Oversight and advertising provided by DICSA staff.
  • Have fun while learning how to get involved through volunteerism.
  • Open to all ages.
  • Several events are held throughout the year.

Senior Expo
  • Fairs providing information and free health screenings.
  • Held annually in Dickinson and Iron Counties.
  • Bring together local agencies, businesses, and organizations that deal with senior issues.

Volunteer Services Auction
  • Fundraiser to help support volunteer programs.
  • Hundreds of new items for auction donated by local businesses and organizations.
  • Held once a year.
